About Us

Hardware reviews are broken. Publications spend days benchmarking a single GPU and deliver a verdict shaped as much by review sample timelines and advertiser relationships as by the actual data. The result is a media landscape full of isolated data points, cherry-picked game titles, and consensus manufactured by press cycles not by evidence.

Hertzyn exists to cut through it. We are a small, obsessive team of hardware analysts. We don’t pretend to run our own massive lab. Instead, we do the hard work you don’t have time to do: we read the industry’s best independent reviews, pull their raw numbers, cross-reference them, and synthesize the definitive meta-analysis.

What Does “Hertzyn” Mean?

The name is derived from Hertz (Hz) the fundamental unit of frequency used to measure the clock speeds of processors, memory, and displays. It represents the raw, beating pulse of PC hardware. The name reflects our obsession: stripping performance data down to its core signal and making definitive, defensible calls based on it.

Who We Are

The Hz Team is a collective of hardware analysts and technical writers who have spent years inside the PC hardware ecosystem. We don’t care about unboxing aesthetics or day-one embargo coverage. We care about architectural efficiency, thermal behavior under sustained load, and whether a product actually justifies its price bracket at retail.

We aren’t aligned with any manufacturer. We don’t have preferred vendors, exclusive partnerships, or editorial relationships that require us to soften a verdict. Our analysis follows the facts available on the internet, not the press release.

Our Meta-Analysis Process

Every review and comparison you see on this site is the result of us digging through the internet’s best data. We read the thermal charts from Gamers Nexus, pull the rasterization data from Tom’s Hardware, and track down real-world bottleneck complaints on Reddit. We take all those isolated data points, compare them, argue over them, and synthesize them into one cohesive verdict.

We built this platform because no one else was doing the hard work of aggregating the truth. We let the aggregated numbers do the talking.

How We Operate

  • Data-Driven Analysis: Every verdict on this site is grounded in facts we pull from the industry. When two reviewers report completely different FPS numbers for the same GPU, we dig in to find out why and whether it’s a driver anomaly or a power limit variation and we report the truth.
  • No Paid Reviews: We do not accept financial compensation from Intel, AMD, NVIDIA, or any board partner in exchange for editorial coverage. No manufacturer has seen our analysis before it publishes. They read it when you do.

If a product overheats, bottlenecks, or is priced badly for the performance it delivers, our analysis will document it. We are building the resource we always wanted to read: rigorous, sourced, and completely free of manufacturer influence.
