Editorial Policy & Ethics Statement

At Hertzyn, our core product is our meta-analysis. If our readers cannot trust our conclusions, this publication has no reason to exist. To ensure absolute transparency and maintain the integrity of our work, The Hz Team adheres strictly to the following ethical guidelines. This is how we build and protect our authority in the hardware space.

1. Independence and Objectivity

Our verdicts are dictated entirely by the numbers we pull from the industry. We read the best independent reviews, compile the facts, and we do not alter, omit, or selectively weight that data to favor any manufacturer, sponsor, or brand.

  • No Paid Analysis: We do not accept financial compensation, sponsorships, or “consulting fees” in exchange for publishing a favorable conclusion or altering a data visualization.
  • No Pre-Approval: Manufacturers and PR agencies do not have the right to view our analysis, comparison charts, or conclusions prior to publication. They read the verdict at the exact same time our audience does.

2. Data Integrity & Independence

Because our performance verdicts are derived from reading and cross-referencing independent reviews across the internet, we are uniquely insulated from the sample bias that plagues traditional hardware publications.

  • The Meta-Consensus Standard: Our analysis relies on aggregating facts and numbers from across the hardware ecosystem. This prevents our conclusions from being skewed by a single “golden sample” sent by a manufacturer to one specific reviewer. We evaluate the true consensus of retail performance.
  • Eliminating Access Bias: Traditional publications often soften their verdicts to avoid being blacklisted from future hardware sampling programs. Because we base our analysis on data that is already published online, we do not rely on manufacturer access to do our jobs. We are free to be brutally honest.

3. Error Corrections and Updates

Hardware analysis is incredibly complex. Driver anomalies, hidden BIOS bugs, and OS scheduling updates frequently alter performance profiles post-launch. If we discover a flaw in the industry data we aggregate, or if a manufacturer issues a critical microcode update that fundamentally changes a product’s value, we act immediately:

  • We recalculate the consensus and update the relevant comparison grids on our site.
  • We add a clearly visible “Update Log” at the top or bottom of the affected article explaining exactly what changed in the hardware’s environment, why the data was altered, and when the update occurred.
  • We do not silently edit our analysis to cover up shifts in the data. Transparency is mandatory.

4. Advertising Separation

The analysts and technical writers who build our meta-analysis operate completely independently from any advertising or affiliate revenue operations. The Hz Team does not interact with ad networks and is never pressured to give favorable coverage to a site sponsor.

A display ad from a component manufacturer does not, and will never, buy favorable placement in our analysis.
